Several pictures of Katy Perry seemingly snubbing and avoiding Ryan Seacrest days before she announced leaving "American Idol" were circulated online, which sent some fans speculating whether the singer's exit from the show might be due to a secret feud.

According to reports, Perry, and her fellow judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan were at Aulani Disney Resort in Kapolei, Hawaii to film the reality competition show.

The "Teenage Dream" hitmaker was seen walking past the "American Idol" host, avoiding him, and not even glancing his way once--despite him throwing a smile her way.

Katy Perry Leaving 'American Idol' Because of Producers

Perry announced that she was leaving "American Idol" during her appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" last Feb. 12.

"Well, you know, this fall, this September, I'm going to be doing this huge music festival in Brazil called Rock in Rio. It's really exciting. It's a big deal for people all over the world, especially my Brazilian fans," the "Chained to the Rhythm" singer coyly shared before adding, "So I think this will probably be my last season for Idol."

Perry has been on the show for seven seasons already, and she explained her decision was fueled by her desire for a new chapter in her career.

"I love Idol so much. It's connected me with the heart of America. But I need to feel that pulse of my own beat," she continued.

Meanwhile, according to the Daily Mail UK, the real reason behind the "Daisies" singer's departure was because of the show's producers.

The source explained that Perry felt that she was "repeatedly thrown under the bus by producers" and made to look like the "nasty judge."

Miley Cyrus Replacing Katy Perry on 'American Idol'?

Aside from sharing the news of her exit from "American Idol," Perry also revealed that she is working on new music and is considering going back on tour.

As for "American Idol," the show's producers are scrambling, looking for the "Last Friday Night" hitmaker's replacement.

"Names like Jennifer Lopez and Shania Twain... are in the frame because they have worked on the show before and are 'safe' faces, but there is a push for Miley," a source told The Sun.

"Several producers feel she would be 'perfect' to judge the show and get headlines like Katy."

The source also named Miley Cyrus as a strong contender for the vacant spot on the judges' table.

"There is 'casting drama' over Miley, not about her talent or career, but her ability to be controversial."
