Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker's son, Landon, shared on TikTok Monday that he has been living with Tourette Syndrome, a neurological condition that can cause repetitive moments or unwanted sounds referred to as "tics," for most of his life.

"I actually do have very, very minor Tourette's," he explained in the clip. "I've had it since I can remember, like preschool. I remember exactly because the teacher used to accuse me of rolling my eyes at her because one of my tics was like a weird thing I do with my eyes."

The 20-year-old, who Barker shares with ex Shanna Moakler, told fans that his symptoms, which include head jerking and jaw movements, act up when he is in "nervous situations and nerve-wracking environments."

Many fans responded in the comments section with empathy, thanking Landon for his honest reveal. "My teacher did the same thing when I was younger," noted one.

What Is Tourette Syndrome?

Accoording to the Mayo Clinic, Tourette syndrome is a neurological disorder that is three to four times more common in boys than girls, with symptoms first generally showing up between the ages of 2 and 15.

There is no cure for the condition, but treatments are available if tics become problematic. Many people living with the condition can tolerate it without treatment. Additionally, tics can often lessen or disappear as adolescents mature into adulthood.
