Boy George has been vital in paving the way for men of all sexualities to dress as they want to. His flamboyant demeanor has been a trailblazing attitude enjoyed by new generations of men who are not afraid to dress freely.

The 1980s pop icon also continued to acknowledge the people who came after him and has continued his legacy, one of which is Harry Styles.

Boy George Raves About Harry Styles Fashion

Speaking to Sherri Shepherd, Boy George gushed about Harry Styles' impact.

"When I see Harry Styles doing what he's doing, I love it," he shared. "I am very supportive. I think it's great."

He has since described Styles as "dandy."

"It's not about sexuality, really, it's just about wanting to stand out," he added.

In the past, Boy George has received intense backlash for his flamboyant behavior and rather outrageous fashion sense. Likewise, Styles has received flak for being the first male model on the cover of Vogue magazine -- a thing that gay icon Billy Porter has frowned upon.

Harry Styles vs Billy Porter: Vogue Issue Explained

In a Telegraph interview, the Emmy-, Grammy-, and Tony-winning artist shared his thoughts on Harry Styles being the first man to cover the popular fashion magazine Vogue.

Porter was particularly blunt in his explanation, saying it didn't feel good.

"It doesn't feel good to me. You're using my community -- or your people are using my community -- to elevate you. You haven't had to sacrifice anything," he told the publication.

For Porter, the idea of having Styles as the first man to cover the magazine was more than just a magazine record.

He clarified that he's not "dragging" Styles, but he pointed out that the singer "doesn't care" and he's just "doing it because it's the thing to do."

"This is politics for me. This is my life. I had to fight my entire life to get to the place where I could wear a dress to the Oscars and not be gunned down. All he has to do is be white and straight," he explained to The Sunday Times.

Styles has received significant backlash on this huge career milestone. Many have pointed out that a heterosexual man who dresses flamboyantly on selected occasions shouldn't have been the first man to be on the cover of Vogue magazine.
