A lucky Australian couple did a lot more than exchange their nuptials in front of family and friends on their wedding day. The bride and groom got a surprise appearance and performance from Ed Sheeran himself, who performed "Thinking Out Loud," the couple's favorite song.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Australian radio station, KIIS 1065, organized the big surprise for the couple by organizing Sheeran's in-person performance of the bride and groom's (Kya and Matt Debono) favorite song.
In the first part of the video, the Debonos discussed a difficult time in their lives, only to find out they were gifted a wedding for $60,000.
At the wedding ceremony, radio hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie 'O' Henderson (Kyle and Jackie O) prepared the crowd for Sheeran's surprise performance,
"It is time for our first dance," Henderson said. "That is a very memorable moment at a wedding. So we wanted to make your first dance a little bit more special today. So we're going to leave you with a wedding singer that we organized and we hope you enjoy everyone."
Sheeran may have made one of the most romantic and special days even more memorable for the Debonos, but according to E! News the singer also revealed to hosts Kyle and Jackie O that he recently split from girlfriend Athina Andrelos.
"I wasn't single, I was in a relationship for a long time," Sheeran said in response to a question on his love life, according to E! News. Henderson proceeded Sheeran if he wanted to be single, causing an apparent emotional reaction from the singer.
Andrelos works for celebrity chef Jamie Oliver and has been dating Sheeran for more than a year, E! News reported. They were seen together at the 2015 Brit Awards.
Despite news of his breakup, Sheeran still made one the happiest days in a couple's life a lot happier. Check out the moment on Youtube below:
