Janet Jackson has announced her first tour in more than four years as she prepares for the release of a new album later during 2015. Although the album has yet to be formally named (the title JANET was a rumor), perhaps the name of the tour—"Unbreakable"—might also provide a hint as to what the album will be called.
Jackson hasn't announced an official release date for the album either, so we can't be sure whether it will have dropped by the time the pop star makes her first concert appearance at Rogers Arena in Vancouver on August 31.
Although the tour is fairly lengthy, consisting of 36 shows, there are some curious omissions and logistics within the schedule. For example, Jackson has avoided New York City...and the Northeast in general, only coming as close as Toronto. The range of venue sizes that Jackson will play is also notable. For example, in Denver she'll play the 18,000 seat Pepsi Center, while only playing the 4,100 seat PNC Pavilion in Cincinnati.
