Seven days afters rapper Rick Ross was arrested in Fayette County, GA for a second time last month, stemming from a charge of kidnapping and aggravated assault over an incident that occurred with his groundskeeper, Ross is now a free man. The rapper, who's been in a bit of hot water these last couple of weeks, was detained by authorities after an employee of Ross' claims he was held hostage against his will and sustained neck and jaw injuries, as well as chipped teeth that left him ingesting his food through a straw. Sounds pretty bad. Ross was originally denied bail, but after going before the judge on yesterday, he and his attorney pled with the judge to let him go free on a $2M bond for the kidnapping charges. Ross was released as of last night, as he coughed up the cash to get out on bond, and it was no easy feat by any stretch of the imagination.

According to TMZ, Ross had to pull together many resources to actually get the funds. The rapper gathered "$1 million equity from the ex-Holyfield mansion he owns, and another GA property, $500,000 surety bond (from a bail bondsman), $500k in cold hard cash. Ross' attorney also promised his client would hand over the entire Holyfield property to the county...if he intimidates or threatens any witnesses." Not to mention he will be forced to wear an ankle monitor. Ouch. Pretty steep price to pay for his freedom, but alas, he got his wish. This is only the beginning as Ross has a long road ahead of him before this is resolved. Watch clips of Ross going before the judge below.
