Did Valentine's Day treat you poorly? Are you trying to get over heartache or heartbreak? Luckily for us, great artists released some impressive tunes last week that will help you get over your blues! Or maybe you just want to enjoy some cool new songs; either way we've got you covered. Let's listen to new tracks from The Wyches, Papercuts, The Coathangers and many more for this week's mixtape.

The Wyches hail from the United Kingdom, but the recent Partisan Records signed group sounds more like a mix between a grunge band from Seattle met up with a surf-rock outfit from California. The group's new song, "Wire Frame Mattress," exemplifies this analogy and we couldn't be happier about it.

RIYL: The Smashing Pumpkins, Cloud Nothings

If you didn't know this before, John Frusciante used to contribute to The Mars Volta and he and Omar Rodríguez-López recently came together to start the band Kimono Kult. Check out this supergroup's new single "La Canción De Alejandra" ("Song of Alexandria") right here!

RIYL: the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Dirty Projectors

Mr. Dream, a Brooklyn-based noise-rock outfit, released some tunes last fall that had listeners dancing and thrashing about. But the band's new song "Making Muscles (Powered by Faroe Petroleum)" takes a more drone approach with aching guitars and heavy drums.

RIYL: White Fang, Purling Hiss

Check out new songs from Majical Cloudz, SOHN, The Pass, and Papercuts to really get in the post-Valentine's Day mood!

Atlanta punk rockers The Coathangers debuted the song "Springfield Cannonball" just in time to get over Valentine's Day. Get over it and bang your head!

RIYL: Big Eyes, Tegan and Sara (pre-pop)

Jumping to a whole other musical realm, Tourist's new club number "I Can't Keep Up" will have you aching for closure. This is a perfect song to really dive into the emotions of the recent holiday.

RIYL: James Blake, Keep Shelly in Athens

Though Johnny Cash doesn't really fit in with the mold of "Mixtape Monday" because we try to focus on indie artists, we can't deny that this recently discovered duet with Waylon Jennings, "I'm Moving On," was one of the most important songs of the last week.

RIYL: amazing duets!

Clearly this mixtape would be a great gift for someone dealing with some Valentine's Day blues. Perhaps you'll hold onto it for yourself?
