A Place To Bury Strangers released yet another video from their most recent LP Transfixiation. The fourth in a series of debuts, "Love High" is visually and audibly visceral. Opening with strobe-like cinematography and buzzing instrumentation, Transfixiation's third track progresses as the shoegaze outfit's members walk across the Williamsburg Bridge with vertigo inducing steps.

Directed by Tim Panduro, "Love High" is aesthetically befitting A Place To Bury Stranger's primal riffs and satisfyingly disenchanted diction. Paired with an iconic Brooklyn landmark, the spatial and lyrical context of "Love High" is hypnotic and emotionally jarring. By no doubt intentional, the end result is mesmerizing in a dark yet seductive way.

Although the video's duration clocks in just shy of two minutes, "Love High" is memorable and well-deserving of subsequent replays. A Place To Bury Stranger's use of brevity adds a sense of urgency to the song's narrative. The track's construction is in essence pure post-punk with throbbing bass and drums.

Described by some as "disorienting," the intentionality of Panduro's frame-by-frame approach perfectly compliments the song's antagonistic vibe. A plausible soundtrack for a post-shift commute or for the latter days of a flawed romance, "Love High" illustrates the band's enduring capacity to create cognitively shaking anthems.

Currently on tour in Italy, the NYC based three-piece will return to Brooklyn later this month before playing FYF Fest in California. For fans who are unable to catch A Place To Bury Strangers' live set, the band's latest string of released videos might be the perfect remedy.
