Lionel Richie recently broke his silence on Sofia Richie's relationship with Scott Disick. The 68-year-old musician believes that it is a just a phase.

During a recent interview, the American Idol reboot judge revealed that he has met Disick, and he thinks he is a nice guy. However, he also does not think that his relationship with Sofia will last.

"She's 19. When you're 19 you know everything. It is going to be for life? I don't know. But for right now it's just a phase and I'm going to stand real still in the corner, get me a good drink and not make too much noise," said Lionel.

Sofia Richie, Scott Disick Officially Dating

Sofia and Disick have been dating for the past six months, but they first met last summer. After going public with their romance in September, the supermodel said that her dad supports her relationship with Disick, 34.

"He's good. He's been very nice. He's been very cool. He's very supportive, whatever that means," said Sofia.

During the same interview, Lionel made a hand gesture that looked like he was pointing a gun at his head.

Kim Kardashian Opens Up About Scott Disick's New Relationship

By the looks of it, majority of the people in Disick's and Sofia's lives support their relationship. Earlier this month, Kim Kardashian said that she has no problem with Disick dating Sofia, as long as the two of them are not doing anything crazy.

Kris Jenner also told Disick that he can run to her for anything even if it is about her relationship with the young supermodel. Even Disick's ex-girlfriend, Kourtney Kardashian, said that he is happy that Disick has moved on from her.

However, Disick wants to keep his relationship with Sofia as low-key as possible. In an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Disick said that he is not comfortable talking about his relationship with Jenner or any other member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan.

"Kris is really like a mom to me, so I don't ever feel like she's putting me on the spot. But I don't really feel comfortable talking to her about my personal or dating life. Truthfully, as much as I'd like to be honest with her and tell her how I'm really feeling, I also do want to respect Kourtney and her feelings," said Disick.
