Lin-Manuel Miranda might finally complete his EGOT grand slam by having a huge chance of winning an Oscar for his works on "Encanto."

The Walt Disney Animation Studios graced the big screens again with its latest animated musical movie, "Encanto." The flick tells the story of the Madrigal family living in their magical house, "casita," which was built to protect them. It also gifts the family members with magical gifts, but the main character Mirable Madrigal never receives one.

While the storyline sounds heartbreaking enough, Lin-Manuel Miranda made magic out of it by creating new Oscar-worthy music for the film.

In an interview with Variety, Miranda revealed that he blended all eight songs to the story of the Madrigal family in the film.

"On "Encanto," we talked about what music should do and what music shouldn't do. It was really exciting when you have a song like "We Don't Talk About Bruno," and we get to know different characters musically," he said.

Although songwriting has been his forte, he revealed that creating the "I want" song was the hardest one as it should reflect on the whole movie to make the viewers understand Mirabel's life.

Now that he went out of his comfort song after challenging himself with his first Spanish song, Miranda's fans believe that "Encanto" could finally give him the Oscar that would complete his EGOT status.

It is highly likely he would savor a victory soon as "Encanto" already started making impressive records in the industry.

Goldderby noted that the album recently topped the chart with 72,000 equivalent units. It made the sixth animated film soundtrack to ever rank first on the chart, following the footsteps of "The Lion King," "Pocahontas," "Curious George," "Frozen," and "Frozen II."

Most recently, it beat Adele's "30" and became the US' top soundtrack. With that record, he might finally complete his EGOT real soon.

Miranda already won several Emmys, Grammys, and Tonys. As he failed to win an Oscar with "Hamilton," he might have the feat with his "Encanto" masterpiece.

So far, only 12 people have already completed the EGOT status.
