R&B singer Chris Brown has shared the album cover for his upcoming album X on Twitter (not to be confused with Ed Sheeran's most recent album, x). It features a black and white photograph of a shirtless Brown with a large red "X" painted over him. You can check it out below.

After over a year of delays, X has finally been slated for release on Sept. 16. It will be Brown's sixth album, his first since 2012's critically panned Fortune. Speaking of the album's title, Brown told USA Today, "X is the 24th letter of the alphabet, and I'll be 24 when it comes out," though we should point out that the album has been delayed so long that Brown is now 25 years old.

He goes on to say, "When you see x on a vial, it's like forbidden fruit. For me, it means being able to express myself without a filter, without boundaries."

Though no tracklist for X has yet been confirmed, Brown has reportedly recorded a huge number of songs for the album, including the singles "Fine China," "Don't Think They Know," "Love More," Loyal," and "New Flame."
