Kylie Minogue has been involved in a court battle with the Kardashian-Jenner family's youngest sibling.

Kylie Jenner sought to trademark the term "Kylie" for her beauty and clothes companies in the United States in 2014.

The application was denied by the US Patent and Trademark Office after Minogue's legal team intervened.

The "Can't Get You Out of My Head" hitmaker remarked on Tuesday's broadcast of "Watch What Happens Live" that her legal battle with Jenner for trademark ownership was "simply business."

The 54-year-old singer appeared on the nighttime show wearing a black outfit with feathers and boots.

Minogue, via the Daily Mail, added that she felt compelled to speak out after viewers in Dallas inquired about her 2015 trademark dispute with Stormi Webster, the 24-year-old mother of a young boy.

"I've spent a lifetime protecting my brand and building it, so it was just something that had to be done."

Andy Cohen then gave Minogue a hi-five and said, "Yes, it did."

The Aussie singer also said, smiling at the dispute, "But let me also say we agreed," after it was resolved in her favor in 2017.

Cohen then asked her, "Did you have to call Kris Jenner and be like, 'let me tell you something?'"

Minogue responded, "No, but I'd love to meet them."

Kylie Minogue 'Secondary Reality TV Personality'

In 2018, Kylie Minogue said she was upset that the "secondary reality TV personality" quote had been falsely attributed to her in the press.

The singer said at the time, "Can you imagine me saying that? That was just unfortunate that is how those lawyers speak."

Kylie Jenner attempted to trademark "Kylie," but this proved difficult because Minogue already marketed clothing, perfumes, and furnishings under the "Kylie" brand.

Jenner's application was denied by the Patent Office in February 2017, however she allegedly challenged the decision.
