Rolling Loud Miami 2022 is right around the corner. But days after the much-awaited festival came to life, one of its huge headliners tapped out of the lineup.

Like what he did in Coachella 2022, Kanye West pulled the plug on his Rolling Loud Miami 2022 performance last minute.

Good thing Rolling Loud Miami 2022 organizers are quick-thinkers. They had Kid Cudi, who just re-released "A Kid Named Cudi," to fill in the void immediately.

Kanye West Pulls Out on Rolling Loud Miami 2022

Sad news for Kanye West fans, the "DONDA" rapper will not be gracing the Hard Rock Stadium anymore this coming Friday in Rolling Loud Miami 2022.

"Due to circumstances outside of our control, Ye will no longer be performing at Rolling Loud Miami 2022," Rolling Loud tweeted recently.

According to the festival organizers, Kanye West provided little to no explanation on why he decided not to perform at the festival, whose lineup was announced last March 2022.

"We were looking forward to Ye headlining Rolling Loud Miami 2022. We spent months working with him and his team on the performance. Unfortunately, Ye has decided that he will no longer be performing," Rolling Loud co-founders Tariq Cherif and Matt Zingler said in a statement.

Per Cherif and Zingler, this is the first time ever since the festival's inception in 2015 that a headliner pulled out on their show. (via Billboard)

This is the first time a headliner has ever pulled off our show, and though we don't take it lightly, we wish him the best.

Last 2021, Ye already performed at Rolling Loud California 2021 but only as a special guest. Rumors of him appearing again as a special guest on Rolling Loud Miami 2021 have circulated, but he eventually opted not to because of "DONDA" delays.

But despite the "Hurricane" hitmaker's absence from the rap-only festival, another rapper who is around his caliber will be replacing him.

Rolling Loud Miami 2022 Lineup Includes Kid Cudi

Coinciding with their announcement of Kanye West's departure from the lineup, Rolling Loud Miami 2022 has tapped Kid Cudi to fill in the performer gap immediately.

Kid Cudi, who has then shared a tight friendship with Kanye West, is now having a souring relationship with the rap mogul following their spat earlier this year because of the former's friendship with Pete Davidson.

The timing of Kid Cudi's Rolling Loud Miami 2022 performance could not have come at a better time.

Yesterday, July 17, his debut mixtape "A Kid Named Cudi" was finally released on streaming services, while his first-ever compilation album "The Boy Who Flew To The Moon Vol. 1" hit the stands last July 8.

Rolling Loud Miami 2022 takes place at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida, this July 22-24, 2022. Future and Kendrick Lamar will headline the Saturday and Sunday spots of the festival.
