Star-Studded Album

"Demons Protected By Angels" boasts a star-studded tracklist, under the helm of the Canadian rapper and Amir "Cash" Esmailian.

The album contains 19 tracks, including "Count On Me" as the intro and "Ball In Peace" as the outro. NAV enlisted the help of Lil Baby and Travis Scott for "Never Sleep," Lil Uzi Vert for "Dead Shot" and "Interstellar," Lil Durk for "My Dawg."

"Playa" features Gunna, "Lost Me" with RealestK, "Reset" with Bryson Tiller, "Mismatch" with Baby Face Ray, and "One Time" features Future and Don Toliver.

Nav also have songs without collaborators. His solo vocals can be heard in "Baby," "Last of the Mohicans," "Demons in my Cup," "Weirdo," "Don't Compare," "Loaded," "Wrong Decisions," and "Destiny."

NAV was reportedly joined by Wheezy, Pro Logic, MOney Musik, Tay Keith, Boi Ida, Rex Kudo, BenjiCold, and more for the production of the album.

There were rumors that NAV would include Drake in the album, but he did not. He addressed this in an interview with "Full Send Podcast."

There was no beef between the two, he clarified, "I didn't want to put the song on the album and have it take away from anything else on the album.

Musical Growth

In an interview with Complex, NAV revealed that he learned a lot during the break between his previous album "Good Intentions," released in 2020.

"Being inside the house, it kind of humbled me, because I was always on tour and people were always in my face and screaming for me," he said.

"It just humbled me and made me deal with a lot of issues that I didn't know I had. And that helps the music and the content."

On knowing if he has a hit on his hands, he explained that he looks for the sweet spot of a song. He added that it was both the technicalities as well as the artistry that creates the perfect song. " The right lyrics, the right flow choices. I feel like we found all those pockets. It hits everything."
