Elton John just wrapped up his historic "Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour" at Dodger Stadium last weekend and earned millions of dollars in the United States alone; how much was his total earnings on his tour in the US?

According to Billboard, the music legend's three shows in Los Angeles grossed a whopping $23.5 million and sold over 143,000 tickets to fans.

Since launching the tour in 2018, the "Your Song" hitmaker made $749.9 million and sold 5 million tickets, excluding his recent shows.

Despite earning a lot of money, John is only placed at number two for the artist of highest-grossing tour in the world as Ed Sheeran still holds the record after earning $776.4 million.

However, the outlet noted that the musician still has 50 shows across Australia and Europe next year, meaning he could surpass the "Shape Of You" hitmaker's record.

In total, the singer's North American stadium shows added $221.1 million to its total earnings.
