Pete Davidson's buddies are concerned about him as he accepts a legendary role with Netflix.

"I Slept with Joey Ramone", a music biopic following the life of the King of Punk, will apparently be based on the Mickey Leigh memoir of the same name, written by Joey Ramone's brother, and will star the "Saturday Night Live" comic.

The screenplay was written by Pete and Jason Orley, who previously directed him in "Big Time Adolescence," according to a report from Deadline last year. According to reports, the Estate of Joey Ramone has given its support and assistance to the initiative.

Friends of the 29-year-old ex-boyfriend of Kim Kardashian are worried that he won't be able to control his "demons" while playing the part.

According to a Hollywood insider who spoke to The Sun, considering Pete Davidson's mental health troubles, there are worries about the strains of recreating the iconic part.

At the age of 18, the late Ramones vocalist Joey, real name Jeffrey Ross Hyman, received a schizophrenia diagnosis. Before passing away from cancer in 2001, he also struggled with obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Pete, who lost his father in the 9/11 attacks in September 2001 when he was just seven years old, has a history of making suicide threats.

The new boyfriend of Emily Ratajkowski was reportedly drawn to the role of Joey Ramone because it allowed him to draw on his personal misfortunes for more than just funny or cringe-worthy moments.

Pete apparently has to consider his future after departing from the popular Saturday show. The comedian apparently aims to gain people's respect for the performing industry by taking on this project with Netflix.

But for him, assuming the job is incredibly challenging.

But the insider noted that "falling that far down this rabbit hole is perilous, especially with everything Pete is now managing."

Pete has been under a lot of pressure ever since he left Saturday Night Live, and this is by far his hardest assignment to date, they said.

Despite all of his accomplishments, Pete Davidson apparently still acts as like he has a lot to prove, and the insider thinks this is a surefire way to end badly.

In addition to "I Slept with Joey Ramone," Pete will also be appearing in "The Suicide Squad" sequel, which will be released in August, and "American Sole," which will have a future release date.
