Akon seldom discusses topics related to pop culture outside of music, so when he did, it drew criticism.

Nick Cannon is merely enjoying his life to the fullest, according to the "I Wanna Love You" singer, whose true name is Aliaune Damala Badara Akon Thiam, who gave the controversial host his entire support while addressing his decisions.

On a recent edition of "The Zeze Millz Show," the Missouri-born musician and record producer, 49, was questioned about polygamy and gave his thoughts without holding back.

When asked if he agreed with Nick "sharing his seed," Akon responded, "I agree with him 1000%."

"That's how life should be, so why not? He's wealthy, trustworthy, and takes care of all those kids."

"And the baby moms are with it, and they suffer needlessly while living in comfort," the singer said.

Zeze proceeded to inquire about what the singer thought of Nick Cannon's children, but she didn't appear to agree.

The "Don't Matter" singer shot back, "Nick is there for every single one of those kids. I had nine [kids] and I'm there for every one of mine."

As of this writing, Nick is the father of 11 children by six different women. His twelfth kid is currently due.

After being asked what Nick would do if he attended each of his children's recitals, Akon continued to express his opinions, claiming that the duty was "a white man's thing."

He emphasized that it is his duty as a "man" to nurture his kids, show compassion, protect them, help with family planning, and be a responsible adult.

"While I'm taking care of my responsibilities to make sure the family has a roof over their heads and food, if I have the time to do that and show love, absolutely, I will do that. But my obligation is to make sure they grow up responsible and strong," the Senegalese-American entrepreneur continued.

Fans, regrettably, are not pleased with Akon's personal viewpoint.

"This was my first time hearing Akon talk outside of his songs, and I regret it," one individual stated.

Another individual, incensed by Akon's remarks, emphasized that Akon needed to realize that the children wouldn't remember all of the money that had been given to them. However, they would recall all the occasions when the father had abandoned their children.

Taking the kids to football practice or picking them up, according to a third individual, goes a long way for them even if it's a basic activity.

They said, "If you don't, get ready for them to resent you."
