Motörhead drummer Mikkey Dee revealed what the band members thought about reuniting years after their frontman Lemmy's death.
For years since December 2015, Motörhead remains nowhere to be seen in new shows. It also has not released a new album since dropping "Under Cöver" in 2017. After Lemmy's death, the band lost its last surviving members following the deaths of Eddie Clarke and Larry Wallis.
With the recent developments, there have been queries about whether Motörhead's surviving members would tour again even without Lemmy.
In an interview with The Metal Voice, drummer Mikkey Dee shared his and the members' decision regarding the band's potential tours again. He immediately disapproved of the idea, saying that their fans would surely never want them to do that.
"That, to me, is stepping over the line. We will never, ever, ever tour with Motörhead as a name ever and bring someone else in [to play Lemmy's parts]," he said. "That will never happen. But what we are doing is doing some shows here and there."
Although Motörhead's surviving members will never go on tour again, they still perform the band's shows with other musicians.
As for Dee's part, he recently performed their songs, leading him to feel "great" to play the old classic again.
What Mikkey Dee Thinks About Posthumous Reunion Tours
Dee did not want to tour again after Lemmy's death, but he offered a different opinion regarding other bands who opt for posthumous reunion tours.
According to the drummer, there is nothing wrong with it as long as it is done right. Still, he expressed how he would never understand it because some bands are kind of overstepping that it becomes obvious that they are out, reportedly, only for money.

Dee's comment came years after Motörhead's founding member and singer Lemmy - whose real name was Ian Kilmister - died at the age of 70. The frontman passed away shortly after discovering he had cancer.
The band's official page said Lemmy faced an extremely aggressive cancer only days before his death. The singer was reportedly sitting in front of his favorite video game at home when he passed.
In the years before his death, the frontman suffered a serious heart condition and diabetes. His heart arrhythmia diagnosis led him to undergo surgery in 2013.
He also left everyone worried when he started faltering his speech. After having a brain scan, he discovered he had several cancerous tumors throughout his brain and neck. The severity of his case led his doctors to tell him his days were numbered, predicting he had two to six months to live.
