A juvenile court trial has completed with a guilty plea by a defendant in Pop Smoke's murder.

According to the Los Angeles Times, a 20-year-old guy confessed in court on Thursday to his role in the February 2020 tragic event at a Hollywood Hills property.

The Brooklyn rapper was thought to have been murdered by burglars who broke into his residence.

One of four people charged in Pop Smoke's killing entered a guilty plea during a hearing in Los Angeles.

Despite the fact that his name is unknown, he pled guilty to voluntary homicide and home invasion robbery, making him the first defendant to admit responsibility for the incident.

He was sentenced to four years and two months in Secure Youth Treatment Facility as punishment; this placement might keep him in juvenile prison until he reaches the age of 25.
A court ruled against applying the defendant's two years and eight months previously served in juvenile jail to his sentence because of his role in Pop Smoke's death.

In addition, three other people were charged with this crime: Corey Walker, who was 19 at the time, and two others, who were 15 and 17, respectively.

Pop Smoke Death

On February 19th, 2020, word broke that Bashar Barakah Jackson, better known by his stage as Pop Smoke, had died at the age of 20.

Despite being taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center with several gunshot wounds, efforts to resuscitate him were futile, and he was pronounced dead a few hours later.

Pop Smoke, a rapper, singer, and songwriter, shared an Instagram photo during his vacation to Los Angeles that mistakenly disclosed the precise address where he was residing on Hercules Drive. This post featured a magnificent Amiri gift bag.

Pop Smoke Robbery

Due to the information they had obtained, a band of youngsters wearing ski masks allegedly gained entrance to Pop Smoke's bedroom that evening.

They approached him as he was showering, and the 15-year-old assailant attacked him with a revolver before firing it three times into Pop Smoke's back, according to reports.

To make matters worse, they took a Rolex watch and sold it for $2,000.

When he got into problems, the defendant acknowledged to scoping out a mansion and recruiting three other kids into a robbery coordinated by Corey, with whom he stayed in constant touch when they were apart.

Corey is said to have remained at a safe distance in an awaiting getaway vehicle.
