Rihanna is one of the most popular artists in the world, especially with her renewed fame and significance right now after her comeback. The Barbados superstar revealed earlier today that she achieved a major social media milestone.

Social media is perhaps the most important tool today in this digital age. For musicians, singers, and labels alike, the platform has been effective in making sure that the artist's works are being displayed at full capacity to reach its intended audience.

Rihanna The Most Followed Woman on Twitter

According to Social Blade, Rihanna is now the most-followed woman on Twitter.

As of this writing, Rihanna had 108,278,326 followers, while Katy Perry, the second most-followed woman, only had 108,261,949. The small margin of followers has been increasingly thickening, with Rihanna keeping the gap between them.

However, the two need to get past Justin Bieber, who is the third most-followed man on the planet with 113,156,831 followers as of press time.

Meanwhile, Perry, Riri, and Bieber are no match for Former President Barack Obama, who is the second-most followed person on Twitter, with followers spreading up to more than 133 million.

At the summit is Twitter CEO Elon Musk, with a whopping 134 million followers.

Tracing back the list, Ariana Grande closes the Top 10 with 85.2 million, and former President Donald Trump is at No. 9 with 87.27 million.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is high at No. 8, a tad higher than Trump with 87,830,000+ million followers. Taylor Swift sits at No. 7 with 92 million, the last user who has not hit the 100 million threshold after Perry is football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo at No. 6 with 108.2 million followers.

Selena Gomez is the most-followed woman on the platform, rightfully so, as she was considered to have been the person to popularize Instagram in pop culture. She has 410 million.

She just passed by Kylie Jenner with 487 million followers. Dwayne, the Rock Johnson, is at No. 6 while Ariana Grande follows suit. Kim Kardashian, Beyonce and Khloe Kardashian occupy the No. 8, No. 9, and No. 10 spots, respectively.
