Niall Horan is releasing a new album in June, but he has been teasing fans by sharing snippets on TikTok for months on end.

Last Feb. 17, he finally released the first single, "Heaven," and now he's gearing up to release the second single, "Meltdown."

"I'm so happy to let you know that my new single 'Meltdown' is out on April 28," Horan announced via social media. "The song is basically about feeling anxious and being in that kind of freaking out moment but knowing deep down that everything will be alright."

'Meltdown'

In an interview with Dork, Horan further explained the meaning behind the song: It's one of those things, isn't it? We all have it. We all have these panicky moments where you feel like it's all crumbling."

"And you're constantly telling yourself 'I'll be alright.' That's what you keep saying to yourself to calm yourself down. 'I'll be okay. I'll be okay.' Or someone says it to you, 'you're alright, everything's fine.' I wanted to put that into a song."

Apparently, "Meltdown" won't just be having lyrics in relation to "panicky moments", but an actually frantic and quick pace as well.

"I know when I'm doing this... I'm writing for myself, but I know who I'm talking to. My fans... I know what they're into. I read their stuff online every day," he revealed.

'The Show'

The "Heartbreak Weather" singer's forthcoming album will be his third, succeeding "Heartbreak Weather," which was released over three years ago.

He opened up about what inspired "The Show," and what fans can expect from it in an interview with Rolling Stone.

"What makes this record incredibly special to me is it's a reflection of where I am in my life today, as a person, a musician, and of course, as a songwriter," he said.

"Can't say I'm not a little nervous, but hopefully you'll still like this version of me when you listen to the new record."

People know Horan as the quirky, upbeat, and lively member of One Direction; true to his character, he has been driving fans crazy with all the teaser snippets he's been sharing online in support of his album.

It seems like Horan seems pretty excited to finally drop his album, and he knows it's going to be a banger-after all, he sends his songs to his fellow One Direction members for feedback.

"This time I sent it to Louis [Tomlinson], and he gave me his honest opinion on it, which is always handy," the singer said.

"We've released enough songs over the years, so we know what's decent and what's not. All the 1D boys and artists alike, I'll always try and send it around and get everybody's opinion."
