As many artists call for AI Music to be restricted as it uses voices of musicians to generate songs without their permission, Grimes is taking one step further into developing the technology for her fans to use.

More recently, the electronic artist released a vocal project, which is currently in Beta, for her supporters to use and generate tracks.

According to Billboard, the Canadian star shared her website called Elf.Tech, which the outlet describes as an engine room for her artificial technology project.

Despite her first Twitter announcement about copyright rules, her current project has a clear IP, financial splits, and copyright rules for fans to use with limitations.

According to the official website, musicians and creators who will use the GrimesAI-1 voiceprint should agree to share an equal percentage of the master recording royalties distributed on major music platforms and onchain marketplaces.

There is also a disclaimer that says creators should have legal right to all elements of their recordings, except with GrimesAI-1 voice footprint.
