Ed Sheeran might be popularly known for his pop songs, but it appears that he's going to change his genre to country for one night as he's set to perform at the ACM Awards this year; check out the other performers below.

According to Billboard, this would be the first time the musician will attend the ceremony.

For fans who wanted to watch the English hitmaker, the 58th Academy of Country Music Awards will be available for streaming and broadcast on May 11, 2023.

As of this writing, there are no details regarding Sheeran's performance available to the public, it's unclear if he's going to perform a country medley of songs from his latest album, "- (Subtract)," but producers hinted that he will deliver an "electrifying moment" for fans to watch.

Ed Sheeran 'Thinking Out Loud' Lawsuit Victory

The recent announcement comes days after Ed Sheeran won the copyright infringement lawsuit against him which involved his song "Thinking Out Loud" and the classic track "Let's Get It On" by Marvin Gaye.

The trial for the case went viral online as the musician was supported by his fans on social media.

According to ABC News, the English songwriter also played the guitar and sang in court to prove that he didn't copy the song, originally released in 1973.

After three hours of deliberating, the jury finally reached its decision. Ed Sheeran later told the press that he was "very happy with the outcome of the case."

However, he's also frustrated that "baseless claims like this are allowed to go to court at all."

ACM Awards 2023 Performers

In addition to Sheeran, other performers for the evening include co-hosts, Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks. The former is expected to play the lead single of her rock album.

Fans could also expect performances from The War and Treaty, Jason Aldean, Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Bailey Zimmerman, Jo Dee Messina, Keith Urban, Jelly Roll, and many more.

The ACM Awards 2023 will be broadcast live on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel via Twitch on May 11, 2023. A rebroadcast stream will be available the next day through Amazon Freevee.

This year's awards show will be broadcast live from the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. The show will begin at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.
