BLACPINK's Jennie surprised fans when she sneakily previewed a snippet of an untitled and unreleased song that she worked on with The Weeknd.

According to reports, the "SOLO" singer was at a Calvin Klein launch party in Seoul, which comes as no surprise because she is a brand ambassador, but what did come as a surprise was when she headed over to the DJ booth to play something.

The snippet of the song included Jennie and The Weeknd's vocals, as well as some pretty sick beats.

However, it seems like the KPOP idol was not done teasing fans for that day, because she took to social media to share a video of herself playing the clip and tagged The Weeknd and the Instagram handle for their upcoming HBO Max series, "The Idol."

'The Idol' Soundtrack

As of this writing, it is yet to be confirmed whether the song will really be released as a part of the official soundtrack for "The Idol," however all signs point to it.

Reports say that it could very well be a part of a lineup of singles from the soundtrack; the first single is "Double Fantasy," a song by The Weeknd featuring Future.

On top of all the speculations, Jennie was also at the DJ booth alongside DJ sisters Simi and Haze Khandra-who knew all the words to the unreleased song.

According to reports, Simi is rumored to be dating The Weeknd, which would make sense why she and her sister also knew the lyrics.

"Ok but Jennie also opening the song on her collab with The Weeknd is [fire emojis]," another added.

"Jennie's rumored collab with The Weeknd is still unreleased, and yet we are already hearing her live vocals for the song. She is so talented, I'm so excited."

The hype surrounding "The Idol" and Jennie's appearance on the upcoming series has been going on for months now; after all, it is one of the very few times a KPOP idol was included in a Hollywood series.

In addition, it seems like Jennie's role might also be pivotal to Lily-Rose Depp's character meeting The Weeknd's character in the series.
