After releasing the song "Chemical" last month, Post Malone fans are wondering if this would be the start of a new era. More recently, the rapper confirmed that it was indeed a beginning of his new music path as he's set to drop a new record later this year; when is it coming out?

According to Uproxx, the musician's new album titled "Austin" would be available for streaming on major music platforms like Spotify and Apple Music starting on July 28, 2023.

As of this writing, there are stil no information regarding the official tracklist and featuring artists, but a new song called "Mourning" will come out this week.

Named after himself, the rapper said the songs from the album have been "some of the funnest music" he had ever created. They were also "challenging" but "rewarding" at the same time.

Fans will be able to hear a completely different side of Post Malone in the upcoming project as he played the guitar in every track.

"Trying to really push myself and really do some cool stuff. I played guitar on every song on the record and it was a really, really fun experience, and I'm super, super excited to share it with you," he told fans in an Instagram video.

The upcoming song, which comes out Friday, will also have a new music video that the rapper filmed in Scotland.

He didn't give much information about the visuals aside from the location being "absolutely stunning."

"I'm super excited for you guys to hear it and I love you guys so very much," he added.

His upcoming album will be the follow-up to his 2022 project "Twelve Carat Toothace" that featured collaborations with Roddy Ricch, Doja Cat, Gunna, Fleet Foxes, and many more.

Post Malone Tour 2023

The musician still has a couple of scheduled shows for his current tour, but he already announced that he would be going in a new series of concerts called "If Y'all Weren't Here, I'd Be Crying."

The new tour will begin in Noblesville, IN, on July 8, 2023, before travelling to cities across the United States and Canada. (via Billboard)

In addition, the musician will also one of the performers of this year's BottleRock Napa Valley on May 26, 2023.
