XXXTentacion's murderers were finally sentenced to a lifetime in jail after a grueling trial recounting the horrors of the young rapper's death. Three suspects, Dedrick Williams, Michael Boatwright, and Trayvon Newsome faced lifetime incarceration while a fourth one, Robert Allen was seemingly spared after cooperating with the cops.

Formally known as Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy, XXXTentacion was fatally shot at gunpoint in a botched robbery in June 2018.

XXXTentacion Murder: Suspects Sentenced to Lifetime Imprisonment

According to a Rolling Stone report, the three suspects who killed Onfroy in Florida were formally sentenced to a lifetime in jail last Apr. 6, 2023.

"This is a loss we will never truly recover from. We will never get to see Jahseh live to his full potential, we will never get to watch him grow old, we will never get to watch him be a father," Onfroy's family said in a statement.

After six days of deliberation, the three suspects faced first-degree murder and armed robbery charges from the jury composed of five men and seven women.

The conviction of the three suspects was partly credited to the help of another suspect who coordinated with the prosecution.

Robert Allen, the fourth suspect on the trial, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for his involvement. However, he turned against his friends - Williams, Boatwright, and Newsom - to secure his freedom from the conviction.

Unlike the three suspects, Allen received a muted sentence.

XXXTentacion Fourth Suspect Faces 7 Years in Jail

In a new report, Judge Michael Usan, the same presiding judge on Onfroy's murder case, ruled that Allen would only receive a sentence of seven years in jail compared to the lifetime incarceration of the three suspects he turned against.

"I genuinely believe that you are sorry for what you've done and not merely sorry for yourself," Usan said as quoted by NBC Miami. "And I think the remorse that you've shown is genuine."

Since 2018, Allen has been in jail and has served almost five years. After his sentencing, he would only have a two-day stay in jail for two more years and would be placed 20 years on probation for his involvement in Onfroy's death.

According to Allen, saying "sorry" does not even begin the "true inner remorse" he would want Onfroy's family to feel.

"I know that these words that I will speak will never erase the pain and sorrow and loss of what the family will have from now on. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about what happened and beg for forgiveness from God," he added.
