It's been almost three years since Bring Me The Horizon released the first installment of their "POST HUMAN" project that's why fans are excited to hear new material from the group as they finally announced the follow-up record which will be released later this year; find out more about the project below.

The group headlined the Download Festival in the United Kingdom and they used the platform to finally share their new record titled "POST HUMAN: NeX GEn" which is considered to be the second installment of their "POST HUMAN" series.

The new album will be available for purchase, streaming, and download starting September 15, 2023, via Columbia Records.

Oli Sykes Shares Details About Bring Me The Horizon's New Album

According to Loudwire, the new record, the second part of a four-part planned installment and it would heavily revolve around the influences of hardcore and emo culture.

Speaking with NME, lead vocalist Oli Sykes shared more information about the next project, saying he wanted to pay homage to his inspirations when he was growing up like Glassjaw and Linkin Park.

The outlet noted that each part of the series will have a different sound of music and the musician gave a hint on what the new one would sound like.

"I wouldn't say it's a hyper-pop album, but I've definitely been inspired by that world. I admire how obnoxious, trashy and in your face that music feels, which is what I was drawn to when I got into emo, hardcore and screamo," he said.

The singer further explained that the album is "pure fun" and he didn't want to limit on how the band would want to express themselves.

Bring Me The Horizon NEW Album Not Done Yet?

Despite the group finally announcing the release date of "POST HUMAN: NeX GEn," the singer revealed that the album is not done yet.

One of the main reasons why it got delayed was because they wanted it to be perfect.

Regarding the upcoming songs, Sykes explained that each track in the record "needs to be justifiable, and they need to be f****** good."

In addition, he also wanted to give fans something new that they never heard of from them before.

As of this writing, Bring Me The Horizon has yet to reveal the official tracklist of their record.
