Matthew Ramsey has suffered a major health setback due to a physical injury he sustained after a shocking ATV accident earlier this year.
Back at the 2023 ACM Awards, the vocalist surprised people when he was seen walking with a cane during the ceremony. In a recent appearance, the singer seemed to be walking on his own.
Old Dominion Matthew Ramsey Ditched The Cane
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight earlier this week, Old Dominion's Matthew Ramsey explained why he was finally walking without a cane after weeks of using it.
"Yeah, I'm standing," Ramsey said when he was complimented by the reporter to be free from crutches and canes. However, he noted that he was "never been 100 percent."
The reporter, who was also a frequent on Old Dominion's tours, recalled a particular instance where Matthew Ramsey fell off a ladder, causing him to be labeled "accident-prone."
As for his recent injury, Ramsey revealed that he was still on the mend for the injury.
"I'm still doing some physical therapy, yeah. [But] getting better every day," he told the outlet.
Meanwhile, Old Dominion Geoff Sprung jokingly confessed to the outlet what the "fun part" of Ramsey's accidents was for them.
"I'll tell you the fun part about all these accidents that he has is every time, there's always some sort of new physical therapy device that shows up. And then we all get to try it," he said, with Ramsey agreeing that everyone used it.

Why Did Old Dominion's Matthew Ramsey Used A Cane?
In March 2023, Matthew Ramsey suffered an accident in an ATV, resulting in his pelvis being shattered into three pieces.
"The good news is it's gonna heal just fine. The bad news is I'm gonna have to stay home and recover for a little while. I know we all had plans to sing and dance together in Key West," he said about the injury at the time.
To recuperate, Ramsey used a cane on his appearance at the 2023 ACM Awards, which was particularly shocking to see on Ramsey, who was known for being very mobile in their performances.
Meanwhile, that wasn't the first time he sustained an injury as back in 2021, Ramsey fell off a ladder which left him with a collapsed lung and broken rib.
