Guns N' Roses officially began their world tour this year, but some fans also looked back at the band's former guitarist Izzy Stradlin.

The Guns N' Roses 2023 world tour kicked off the whole leg through the band's first performance at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on Thursday. They performed their greatest hits for the more than 30-song setlist, including "Bad Obsession," "Pretty Tied Up," and "Sweet Child o' Mine," among others.

As they continue to dominate the rock industry, some fans also wonder where Guns N' Roses' former guitarist is now.

Izzy Stradlin 2023: Where Is He Now?

Stradlin's name has not appeared in the headlines as frequently as it used to over the past years. In fact, the guitarist maintained his low public profile since he exited Guns N' Roses in 1991.

Amid questions about his whereabouts, Guns N' Roses ex-manager Vicky Hamilton shared an update regarding the musician in her interview with Appetite for Distortion.

According to Hamilton, Stradlin is currently in Ojai based on what the ex-manager heard about the guitarist. Although she is also unsure about his current status, she noted that Stradlin should return to Guns N' Roses since he is the best writer of the band.

Meanwhile, a thread on Reddit asked fans whether he would have a new album this year, to which a user responded that it is highly unlikely to hear something from him.

"He hasn't released an album in 13 years and hasn't put any new songs out since 2016," the Reddit user said. "He's not releasing anything this year."

Why Did Izzy Stradlin Leave Guns N' Roses?

In 1991, Guns N' Roses bid goodbye to Stadlin after the guitarist endured Axl Rose's behavior for years. iHeart also cited the band's decision to cut his part of royalties as the reason why he left the group.

Stradlin has not worked with Guns N' Roses since then, although he reunited with them on several occasions over the past years.

When he addressed his exclusion from the band's Not in This Lifetime reunion world tour, he explained in a statement to the Wall Street Journal that he did not participate after not being able to reach an ideal middle ground in the negotiation process.

Meanwhile, Skid Row bassist Rachel Bolan told Appetite for Distortion podcast in a separate interview (transcribed by iHeart.com) that Stradlin did not talk to the band one year before his exit.

Izzy Stradlin Net Worth 2023

Although Stradlin is yet to return to the stage and music industry, Celebrity Net Worth estimates that his net worth in 2023 is around $20 million.
