Charlie Puth has been making rounds recently after a comedian exposed him for sliding into her DMs on social media despite her being engaged and set to marry in less than a month; what happened?
According to Page Six, reality star and comic Hannah Berner shared in an episode of her "Giggly Squad" podcast with Paige DeSorbo that the guy whom she previously revealed that messaged her was indeed the musician.
"The guy who DM'd me before my bachelorette party was Charlie Puth," she said.
It appears that Puth was fearless and didn't hesitate on sending the DM as the message allegedly reads, "I like you."
Recalling the day she received the surprising message from the famous celebrity, Berner said it was in April 2022 when she was sitting on the couch just before she left for her bachelorette party in Miami.
Upon reading the text, her first instinct was to joke, and was about to reply, "whatever you're down for, I'm down for."
Hannah Berner Takes Charlie Puth DM as a Compliment
The "Summer House" star then shared her thoughts about Puth, saying he "seem nice" but he's not the type of guy whom she traditionally likes.
"I just took it as a compliment from an artist seeing another artist. I think he was saying he likes my work," she added.
Charlie Puth never got a response from the comedian as she never opened the message and there is no way for him to see if she had actually read it.

Unfortunately for the singer, Berner was engaged to Des Bishop at the time, the couple got married on May 2022.
Despite the awkward situation, the reality star shared the "funniest thing" about the interaction, saying that both of their mothers are big fans of the musician.
DeSorbo said her mom saw him in an interview and thought Puth was nice.

According to Pop Sugar, the "Attention" singer had been linked to several women throughout his career.
The first one was Selena Gomez, but the musician said in a previous interview that they were never officially together, however, it was "very impactful."
