When the Taylor Swift "The Eras" American Tour dates were announced, many were shocked not to see a single date for Canada. Home to a million Canadian Swifties, many were even more disappointed that they were left out when the International dates were released.

Since releasing the "The Eras" Tour International Dates, Swift has already added more dates to the first initial plan, but still did not manage to add a stop for Canada.

Taylor Swift 'The Eras' Tour Canada

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has always been very adept in things pop culture. Perhaps one of his most pressing questions at hand right now is when will Taylor Swift return to Canada for a concert.

In a Tweet, the dashing world leader joins aspiring Prime Minister of Thailand Pita Limjaroenrat in asking Swift to return to their country for a "The Eras" Tour stop.

"It's me, hi," Trudeau tweeted referencing Swift's now-iconic "Anti-Hero" lyric. "I know places in Canada would love to have you. So, don't make it another cruel summer. We hope to see you soon."

Trudeau tweeted his plea on Swift's announcement on Twitter. His tweet has now the backing of thousands of Canadian Swifties. It has since amassed more than 45,000 likes, 3.9 million views, and over 7,000 retweets.

However, not all were elated by Trudeau's ask as many have voiced out their frustrations because of the ongoing economic instability and volatility in the country.

"Is the Canadian tourism industry that hard up, that the PM has to go out and beg people to come perform in Canada? This is one of the saddest things I've ever seen," someone tweeted.

"She is not coming because of you, you are the problem," another commented.

"Shouldn't you be fighting inflation and governing the country instead of publicly simping over Taylor swift?" one wrote.

Taylor Swift 'The Eras' Tour Thailand, Philippines

On the other side of the world, aspiring Thailand Prime Minister Pita Limjaroenrat also tweeted to ask Swift to return to Thailand after missing out on her 2014 performance.

Back then, Swift canceled her Thailand concert because of national security issues, because the "military seized control of the government."

Filipino Swifties are also disappointed when Swift missed out on the Philippines for the tour. In 2022, it was reported that Quezon City, Philippines' largest city is the Top 5 City in the World who were the biggest Taylor Swift listeners on Spotify. The city fell under London, New York, Melbourne, and Sydney.

Asia only has two stops - a 6-day show in Singapore and a 2-day performance in Japan.
