In the past few weeks, there was an uptick of in-concert violence between fans and the artists. It started when Bebe Rexha's eyes became the landing pad of a cellphone that a fan threw for "fun."

After that incident, fans thought that throwing something onstage is a very enjoyable thing to do.

Liam Gallagher Hit By A Shoe In A Concert?

Speaking to Dermot O'Leary on BBC's Reel Stories, Noel Gallagher fondly remembered the time when he was still onstage with his now embattled brother Liam Gallagher. The recollection came amid the recent fan-throwing incidents in concerts.

"I remember one gig when somebody hit Liam in the head with a shoe," he recalled.

As he continued, the older Gallagher brother admitted that back then, when he was still on speaking terms with his brother, they definitely had the same thoughts after the rowdy incident.

Liam had the shoe, and I remember we'd come off stage, just waiting at the front door for this guy to walk past with one shoe. We were going to annihilate him," he continued to tell.

Concert Etiquette

Very recently, artists' safety has been a focal point of online discussions.

Adele, while in her Las Vegas Residency, even dared her fans to try and throw something at her. She even implored people for "concert etiquette."

"Have you noticed how people are, like, forgetting show etiquette at the moment, throwing (things) onstage? Have you seen it?" Adele asked the crowd. "I dare you, dare you to throw something at me. Stop throwing things at the artist!"

Earlier today, Drake was thrown by a phone in his Chicago concert with 21 Savage. Unlike Bebe Rexha, the gadget only hit Drake's arm.

Singer Kelsea Ballerini was also hit with a flying bracelet while performing at an outside venue in Boise, Idaho as Ava Max was slapped by an obsessed fan on her Los Angeles concert.

Although she was not hit with something, Pink received two unusual gifts while on her Summer Carnival Tour in Europe - someone's mother's ashes and a 6-pound wheel of Brie Cheese. Lil Nas X managed to dodge a sex toy that was flung onstage.

Experts explained that this uptick was caused by the "blurring of online and real-life boundaries" between fans and the artists.

"It is important to ask questions about why these attacks are happening and what underlying causes or motivations may be leading people to act out in this way," licensed psychologist Nathan Brandon explained to USA TODAY.
