This year has been especially challenging for the couple, seeing as they had their share of drama at the Grammys and spent months fruitlessly searching for a house to call theirs.
But now, it seems like they are back on track.
A source close to Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez recently revealed to Star magazine (via OK) that their trip to the Hamptons was just what they needed to restore harmony in their marriage after some recent stresses.
"This getaway provided a chance for them to wind down and relax," said the insider.
Bennifer 2.0 have had quite the summer, with no shortage of public displays of affection while out and about, celebrating the 4th of July at billionaire Michael Rubin's gathering, and spending quality time with their blended family.
For this moment in time, both "Jenny From the Block" singer and the "Gone Girl" star are immersed in the joys of family life.
A source close to them states that JLo is taking on the title of stepmother to Ben and his ex-wife Jennifer Garner's three children; Violet 17, Seraphina 14, and Samuel 11.
All signs point towards an even happier future as they are reportedly planning to renew their vows at their lavish new Los Angeles mansion costing $60 million.
To top off the season of love, Ben's eldest daughter was invited to music mogul Rubin's star-studded bash in early July - she wowed everyone there with her gorgeous white dress.
Altogether, the pair is very content with life and eagerly anticipating what fall will bring.

Just recently, a brief video of Bennifer sent the internet abuzz.
The footage showed Ben whispering something into his wife's ear which prompted an almost instantaneous stern response from the Latin pop star. Following the video surfacing, Ben owned up to teasing his spouse when the camera managed to catch them.
"I saw [GRAMMY host Trevor Noah approach] and I was like, 'Oh, God.' They were framing us in this shot, but I didn't know they were rolling," Ben Affleck said.
"I leaned into her and I was like, 'As soon they start rolling, I'm going to slide away from you and leave you sitting next to Trevor.'"
Then he added, "[JLo] goes, 'You better f-----g not leave.' That's a husband-and-wife thing. I mean, some of it is, I'm like, 'All right, who is this act?' Like, I don't keep up. My wife does, obviously. And yeah, it is your wife's work event."
