Matty Healy and his band, The 1975, have been under fire over the past few weeks due to their controversial stand, especially after they were banned from the country of Malaysia for speaking up against its anti-LGBTQIA+ laws.

More recently, it appears that the frontman isn't done taking a dig against the Southeast Asian country as he seemingly made a joke again during their performance at the Lollapalooza in Chicago, Illinois; watch the video below.

According to Pink Villa, there was one moment during the show when the musician asked the crowd if they want a "travel tip."

"You want my travel tip?" he said, before saying, "Don't go to..."

Healy was not able to finish the sentence as his bandmates proceeded to play the song "It's Not Living If It's Not With You."

It's important to note that this was not the first time the band did something like this whenever they perform the fan-favorite track from the 2018 album "A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships."

The musician, along with his bandmates Ross MacDonald, George Daniel, and Adam Hann, have done this in the past and Healy usually say something controversial at the beginning before the song starts.

In other moments, The 1975 was performing one of their biggest songs to date, "Robbers," from one of their earlier albums.

During the set, Matty Healy noticed someone familiar in the crowd so he immediately went down the stage to give this legendary audience member a big hug.

It turns out, it was Tom DeLonge of Blink-182. (via Loudwire)

"I love you so much. I f****** love you so, so much," he said. After the song ended, the singer, who was previously linked to Taylor Swift, told his fans that he got the chance to meet one of his heroes in the rock industry.

"The person who inspired me to talk about my d*** as much as I do and I thank him for that forever," he added.

What Happened to The 1975 in Malaysia?

The recent news comes a few weeks after The 1975 performed at the Good Vibes Festival in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where Matty Healy expressed his controversial comments against the country's laws against the LGBTQIA+ community.

He told the crowd that he made a mistake and never got the chance to look into the country they were performing at.

"I'm sorry if that offends you, and you're religious... but your government is a bunch of f**king r--. I don't care anymore," he told the crowd.

He later made out with his bandmate Ross MacDonald then the crowd went wild.

Due to their actions, The 1975 has been banned from the country and the rest of the three-day music festival was canceled.
