Noel Gallagher is perhaps one of the most vocal and expressive artists in the industry right now and he doesn't like to be the one intimidated and insulted like any other person in the room.
Recently, fans were dazed and confused as to why the former Oasis rocker was taking shots at a seemingly innocent Adele. Now, Gallagher provides the context.
Noel Gallagher, Adele Feud Explained
Speaking to the Matt Morgan podcast early in July 2023, Noel Gallagher was riled up when the conversation at the Matt Morgan podcast pointed toward Adele.
"F*ck off, f*cking hell. Name one? They're f*cking sh*t. It's f*cking awful. It's f*cking Cilla Black. I find it and that whole thing offensive," he said at the time, as quoted by The Mirror.
Fans were puzzled about what caused him to lash out like that.
"If I fall out of love with touring, I could see myself just sitting at home writing songs and sending them to my publishers. I might in the future. I'll be saying, 'Get Adele to sing that. Don't call until she's done the guide vocal'," Noel furthered: "I want Lewis Capaldi to murder this song, I want him to sit on it from a great height. Make me rich'."
Noel's "foul-mouth" has been a headline-maker for quite some time already. Very recently, he also made news for taking a jab at Matty Healy, Lewis Capaldi, Jade Thirlwall, and even his own brother, Liam Gallagher.

Now, Noel Gallagher explains what prompted him to say that at the time.
Speaking again to the said podcast, he told Morgan that he received an invite from Adele to meet up. (via NME Magazine)
"I don't think I have ever gone out of my way to start anything, it's always been a reaction to some f*cking idiot having a go in the first place," Gallagher explained. "You know me, I keep myself to myself."
Apparently, someone asked Gallagher if he would want to meet Adele - "That's what riled me."
"I'm not one for causing a scene, I just stick it in the vault and just think revenge is a dish best served cold."
Currently, Adele is spending her weekends in Las Vegas for her sold-out "Weekends With Adele" Las Vegas Residency. She is one of the world's best-selling music artists, having sold 120 million records worldwide.
As for Noel Gallagher, he, the High Flying Birds, and Garbage capped off their Summer tour in the United States last July 2023.
