Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have been going through a tough time in their lives at the moment as it was confirmed that the singer has officially filed for divorce from his now-estranged wife after four years of marriage.

More recently, reports have circulated that the "Cake By The Ocean" hitmaker attempted to save their relationship even though it was on the rocks over the past few months.

According to a source close to the couple who spoke with Page Six, the Jonas Brothers member tried to "salvage" the relationship and divorce was "a last resorty" for him as he wanted his family to be intact despite the problems.

"He had to take what he felt was the best course of action for his girls," the insider revealed, citing the couple's two daughters.

Joe Jonas Grew Tired of Marriage Problems With Sophie Turner

The source further explained that Jonas and Turner have been having issues and "many disagreements" in their marriage over the past few months.

Unfortunately, the musician, who is also a part of DNCE, became tired as the problems "kept building" to the point that he felt tired from what was happening.

"It just kept building, and Joe finally reached a point where he felt that he had exhausted all options to salvage the marriage," the source noted.

Although the source did not directly state their different lifestyles as one of the main reasons of their problems, a separate insider revealed that the actress' partying habits could be a factor as she likes to party while Jonas likes to stay at home.

Joe Jonas Files for Divorce From Sophie Turner

After days of speculation in the media, it was confirmed that Joe Jonas has officially filed for divorce from his wife.

TODAY.com reported that paperwork has been filed in Miami, Florida, and it was stated that their marriage is "irretrievably broken."

Despite the issue, they still wanted the best for their children as it was noted in the legal documents that both parties "have shared parental responsibility," but it was also noted that Joe Jonas has been taking care of the two daughters in Miami and across the United States despite him being on tour with the Jonas Brothers.

As of this writing, neither of the two celebrities has yet to address their divorce.
