The case of Post Malone and his ex-girlfriend Ashlen Diaz is headed to court, with the former's lawyer claiming to have photographic and text evidence demonstrating physical abuse on the part of the rapper.

Court records accessed by Radar Online revealed that Martorell Law made a shocking announcement in court this week.

In 2022, the law firm sued Austin Post (known as Post Malone) and his former partner Diaz.

Diaz sought the services of a professional firm to negotiate a settlement with Malone following their separation in 2018. They had been together for three years when they decided to part ways.

The organization representing her stated that she was asking for palimony, a form of financial support usually given to ex-partners who have not gone through marriage.

The firm would receive compensation for whatever arrangement emerged due to the talks with Malone.

Martorell Law took legal action against Malone due to his alleged actions involving Diaz. He said he persuaded her to abandon the law firm and negotiate a personal agreement with him instead.

Diaz and Malone were sued by a firm that wanted to receive commissions for services rendered that they argued had been cut out.

In response, the rapper recently filed a motion to dismiss this case in court, citing it as being "frivolous, unreasonable, or without foundation." Diaz had also made an effort to have this suit thrown out.

In response to the allegation that he had no power over Diaz, Martorell Law has presented a motion suggesting otherwise. According to their statement, Diaz reported that Malone had physically abused her throughout their relationship.

It was claimed that Malone used his influence and power over Diaz to get her to fire her lawyer so that he could pay a lower settlement sum. Furthermore, it was said that he wanted to continue controlling Diaz to keep her story from being shared with others and avoid possible litigation.

"Defendant Diaz, unfortunately, gave in to such duress (as victims often do), to her detriment, separating her from legal representation she desperately needed."

The filing read, "Rather than face accountability. However, Defendant Malone downplays his control over his ex-girlfriend, attempting to portray this action and twist this wrongful behavior as akin to a party trying to stifle competition."

To strengthen their case, a law firm petitioned to change their lawsuit by including more concrete data such as photographs and text messages.

The motion further said, "Put simply, coercion and pressure of one's romantic partner combined with physical and emotional abuse in violation of the Penal Code, to deprive that person of competent legal counsel and with the knowledge that the actor is also depriving legal counsel of its attorneys' fee, constitutes an independent wrongful act."
