Nicki Minaj and her husband Kenneth Petty have been slapped with a shocking announcement from the Central District of California Court, placing the latter under house arrest after allegedly threatening Offset.

He has been ordered to serve 120 days of home detention upon the days of the order's publication.

Why is Kenneth Petty Placed Under House Arrest?

Legal Affairs journalist Meghann Cuniff shared the order in a tweet the official legal document stating Petty's Petition on Probation and Supervised Release.

Apparently, Petty was "recorded on video making threatening remarks to a specific individual while in the company of someone with a criminal record." On who that specific individual was - Cardi B's husband, Offset. (via The Hollywood Reporter)

In videos now circulating on social media, Petty has been seen outside of a New York hotel where Offset was noted to have been residing at the time.

He said: "Plan that vacation, you gonna be planning your funeral pussy!." Offset, spooked by the rather grim suggestion said that he was going off a jet, sarcastically noting Petty was "funny" and broke.

For those who do not know, Petty was sentenced to three years probation in July 2022. He pleaded guilty to failing to register as a sex offender in the state of California in 2020 when he moved to the state. This was because in 1995, he was convicted of first-degree attempted rape of a 16-year-old and he spent four years behind bars in New York.

Petty's alleged feud with Offset was alleged to have stemmed from their wive's longstanding feud. Nicki Minaj and Cardi B have long been in a bitter battle not only in the rap game but also in real life. It seemed to have exacerbated or reignited during the strong presence of both husbands at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards in Newark, New Jersey.
