Self-professed Queen of Christmas Mariah Carey named her all-time favorite Christmas song - and it is not her track.

Every year, Carey enters worldwide charts as her Christmas songs dominate the music streaming sites again. But despite her long list of carols, she named another Christmas song her favorite.

What Is Mariah Carey's Favorite Christmas Song?

During her appearance on "The Jennifer Hudson Show" on Wednesday, November 15, Carey spoke about her favorite Christmas movies and songs.

She surprised everyone when she revealed that her favorite Christmas song was her grandmother's pick: Nat King Cole's version of "The Christmas Song." She added that she does not let people listen to anything but Christmas music during the holiday.

When asked about her favorite movie, the 54-year-old crooner gave several titles, including "Elf," "Miracle on 34th Street" and "Home Alone."

Carey also spoke about their Christmas tradition, from decorating their home to preparing their festive foods.

"In the main part of the house, there will be a nice, tall Christmas tree with gold and silver - not actual gold," she said. "Then I have a smaller multicolored-lights tree, like the Charlie Brown tree, with some ornaments that my fans made for me and different stuff like that."

Is Mariah Carey the Queen of Christmas?

Before Christmas 2022, Carey attempted to have the sole use of the name "Queen of Christmas" as well as "Princess Christmas" and "Christmas Princess."

However, reports said the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board rejected all the names as Elizabeth Chan has the monikers after previously dropping over 10 Christmas albums over the past decades.

"Christmas has come way before any of us on earth, and hopefully will be around way after any of us on earth. That's just not the right thing to do. Christmas is for everyone. It's meant to be shared; it's not meant to be owned," Chan said.

Carey applied for the trademark so she could use it in other items, including mugs, lotions, ornaments and more. She was criticized over the move, with another festive singer, Darlene Love, saying that had been the Queen of Christmas for over three decades - long before "All I Want for Christmas Is You" was released.
