• Jake Owen Cut Hair 'Cause Mom Told Him To

Jake Owen is the cool, beach-country guy with the cool songs and the cool guitars and all that stuff. But you know what is not cool anymore? His hair. The 33-year-old's scalp recently got the respite it sorely needed after years of hauling Owen's wildebeest mane around. "I don't even know what the back looks like!" he told KMLE after getting a haircut. "I'll tell you what the weirdest thing for me is, is seeing my neck. I've never seen that before, you know?" At first, Owen blamed the cut on his significant other. "I don't know, man," Owen said. "My wife, she wanted a different man." But it did not take him long to reveal the truth. "It gets long, and my mom's always like, 'You need to cut your hair,'" Owen said. "It wasn't like I was going to trim it, I was going to just drastically do it." Perhaps the move was also made as part of Owen's recent commitment to be more badass.
  • Jake Owen Shares 'What We Ain't Got' Music Video [WATCH]

Country star Jake Owen has shared the music video for his latest single "What We Ain't Got," which you can check out below. The highly emotional video is pretty bare bones and features Owen singing the song while the camera focuses on several people who have overcome or are overcoming some sort of adversity, including a cancer patient, a prisoner and a paraplegic. According to "The Boot," most of the people who appear in the video are not actors and are actually suffering from the afflictions they are portraying. "I think it was just important to have real people and real scenarios in this song to help with the message of it," Owen says of the video. One of the people who appears in the video — the first person to appear after Owen — is the song's writer Travis Meadows, who wrote the song about his own troubled life.
