• Dr. Luke Responds To #FreeKesha Campaign -- Rape Allegations "Outright Lies"

    On Friday a New York City Judge denied Kesha's attempt to get an injunction against Sony Music and Dr. Luke, who she alleges sexually assaulted her. This in effect forced her to honor her contract with Sony and continue recording, prompting responses from female artists from across music like Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Lorde and Demi Lovato. After taking a public beating over the weekend with the revival of the #FreeKesha campaign, Dr. Luke's attorney Christine Lepara calling the rape allegations "outright lies."

    Odds are that, if you could pick a compatible dream lineup for a hip-hop tour in 2016, you would think back to the Up in Smoke tour from 16 years ago with Dr. Dre, Eminem and Snoop Dogg, and hope that Compton rapper Kendrick Lamar would also be on the bill. Without getting too ahead of ourselves, this is apparently the ideal tour for Snoop because he recently spoke about his efforts to make this come together, teasing the possibilities of making it happen in 2016 or sometime in the near future.

    Both Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift have shown their support for Kesha in recent days after the "Timber" singer lost an injunction bid to be freed from her contract at Sony Music and her alleged rapist Dr. Luke. But, that doesn't mean that their various methods of support line up with each other. After a Swift fan said Lovato's social media support wasn't nearly as powerful as Swift's monetary donation, Lovato clapped back on Instagram, saying Swift is being too politically correct.

Perhaps he was hoping to make her big day as special as his own Bar Mitzvah, but he went above and beyond when he performed a bunch of his songs including the new track "Summer Sixteen" off of the upcoming Views from the Six album, the remix of Fetty Wap's "My Way," and, of course, "Hotline Bling."
