The world of One Direction was rocked last week when—just after leaving the band's "On The Road Again" Tour—Zayn Malik officially quit the boy band. The group has continued on the tour as Directioners continue to recover from the trauma (as reported by our own Carolyn Menyes last week), but obvious logistical issues have come to the fore: What happens to band merchandise that still features Malik prominently (aka most of it)? The group hasn't quite figured that issue out yet but it has solved a slightly simpler issue, apparently having successfully edited the vocalist out of the band's opening montage video for last weekend's show in Johannesburg, South Africa. -
NBC News Chief Andy Lack Needs to Save MSNBC Before Trying to Bring Back Brian Williams as 'Nightly News' Anchor
When it was announced that former NBC News chief Andy Lack would be returning to his old position at the network, all the focus was on the Brian Williams fiasco. It seems fairly likely that Lack will want to at least attempt to figure out how to successfully bring his friend back to the anchor seat of 'NBC Nightly News,' and while that task seems pretty huge, given Williams's admission of having an embellishment problem, it may not be Lack's biggest problem to tackle. MSNBC is tanking in the ratings, so figuring out how to keep the news network afloat is actually something Lack has done before. During his last tenure as news chief, he found the balance that helped MSNBC to stay uniquely competitive, and now he will struggle to do it all over again. -
'Blood, Sweat & Heels' Daisy Lewellyn Reveals Stage 3 Bile Duct Cancer Diagnosis on Season 2 Premiere
Fans of Bravo's 'Blood, Sweat & Heels' are used to watching fashion stylist Daisy Lewellyn navigate through life with a big smile on her face. On last night's March 29 premiere of Season 2, the smile was still there, but so were some tears as she explained how she has been fighting Stage 3 bile duct cancer for several months. Rather than turn to this group of women, some of whom she has been good friends with for years, Lewellyn instead dropped out of sight as she had a tumor removed and went through a round of chemotherapy. -
