• 5 Bad Vocalist Solo Debuts, from David Lee Roth to Nearly All of The Beatles

    On this date 30 years ago, Freddie Mercury of Queen released his first solo album, Mr. Bad Guy...and it failed drastically, at least from a commercial standpoint. It seems odd now—when a solo album from Brandon Flowers or other vocalists attached to a big-name band can release an album by themselves and land in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 without breaking a sweat—that one of the liveliest frontmen in rock history couldn't get into the Top 150 of the album sales charts with his first solo release. That said (and despite the cheesy image of Mercury in shades on the album cover), Mr. Bad Guy ain't a bad record. That can't be said about the solo debuts of these other famous vocalists, from The Beatles' members to David Lee Roth.

For the third week in a row, the soundtrack single has topped the Billboard Hot 100, ahead of hits from Mark Ronson, The Weeknd and Fetty Wap. Meanwhile, Jason Derulo has notched another top 10 hit with his Everything Is 4 single "Want to Want Me."

    Snoop Dogg has unveiled the tracklist, including the collaborators for his new album Bush that has been executive produced by the hardest working man in music, Pharrell. The 10-track album will feature some of the biggest names in hip-hop such as Rick Ross and Kendrick Lamar, as well as legends in soul and funk like Stevie Wonder and Charlie Wilson. Snoop revealed the tracklist on Twitter.

He posted a black-and-white photo of him and Ben Stiller (a.k.a. Derek Zoolander) going head to head in a "Blue Steel" stare off with a #Zoolander2 hashtag and clarification that the hair is not in fact his new style but rather a wig.

    Chicago rapper Towkio has released his full mixtape .Wav Theory after sharing several very well received singles from the project over the past few months. A Chicago affair, the mixtape features a whole host of fellow Windy City artists including Chance The Rapper, fellow SAVEMONEY and new Roc Nation signee Vic Mensa and Donnie Trumpet. It reaches outside of the city for production from Kaytranada and even out of the country for Norwegian Lido on "Heaven Only Knows."
