Rich Homie Quan is in the process of putting together his debut album, and it sounds like he will be taking a break from the Rich Gang in order to complete it. The Atlanta rapper stopped by hometown radio station Hot 107.9 to talk about his new music and why he needs to concentrate on his solo effort. Quan dropped a new track with Young Thug recently, "Homie," that might be his last collaboration for a while, 'HotNewHipHop' noted. -

John Legend, Common and 'Glory' Lead Post-Oscars Sales Boost; Lady Gaga, Jennifer Hudson Boost Inspirations
John Legend and Common have already added a slight boost to sales of their single "Glory" from the film 'Selma' despite last week's sales tallies ending a short while after Sunday night's Oscars telecast. Fox Affiliate Anchor Kristi Capel Suspended for Using Racial Slur to Describe Lady Gaga's Performances
The fallout continues for Cleveland's 'Fox 8 in the Morning' anchor Kristi Capel, who on Monday, Feb. 23, made the potentially career-ending mistake of using a racial slur on air. While doing an Oscar recap with co-anchor Wayne Dawson for the Fox affiliate, Capel praised Lady Gaga's performance by saying she usually cannot hear her voice because of the "jigaboo music" she uses. In case Capel did not offend people the first time, she then used the word a second time to really drive home her point, and boy, did viewers get it. In spite of issuing an apology, the reaction has been so bad Capel has been suspended from the air. -
Violent Seizures Prevented Doctors From Successfully Bringing Bobbi Kristina Out of Coma
Bobbi Kristina Brown's loved ones were filled with hope when doctors began to decrease the medication that has kept her in a medically induced coma for weeks. The thinking was that if they could successfully bring her out of the coma, then they would finally be better able to assess the real extent of her injuries. Whitney Houston's only child was found face down in a bathtub nearly four weeks ago, and it has been touch and go ever since. Unfortunately, Brown remains comatose this morning, Feb. 26, after doctors had no choice but to increase her medication again. Violent seizures have prevented doctors from successfully bringing her out of a coma. -

A decision that we figured would cause more of a media hullabaloo has been settled: New music albums will now universally be released on Fridays instead of Tuesdays. The conversation between the world's largest music markets has been going back and forth for half a year but ultimately European representatives won out in proposing the Friday release date, as opposed to a universal Tuesday release, in the tradition of what Americans already expect. -
