• Juno Award Nominations 2015: MAGIC!, Kiesza & Leonard Cohen Lead Best-Of Canadian Music

    Awards season is in full swing for 2015, and Canada is no exception. Today (Jan. 27), just a few weeks before the Grammys the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences announced its nominations for the 2015 Juno Awards and it's going to be a "Rude" year. Chart-toppers MAGIC! lead the nominations with five nods, with Leonard Cohen and Kiesza following closely in tow with four nods apiece.

The "A Fine Way To Die" producer announced that his new album, 'Say It Loud,' will be released this March and he has unveiled a brand new single from it.

    After Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice was suspended indefinitely by the NFL in September for punching his then-fiancee and now-wife Janay Rice in the face and knocking her unconscious, the league went to work on revamping its domestic abuse policy. In addition to heavier consequences for players, the NFL worked up the No More advertising campaign, which has been running commercials about domestic violence ever since. The league recently shared its powerful Super Bowl PSA spot, and it is chilling.

  • L7 Officially Announces Reunion With Short Film, Launches Kickstarter Campaign for Documentary [WATCH]

    Though Los Angeles grunge band, L7, suggested last month that a reunion tour was in the works, today they've officially announced their reunion with a short filmed titled "A Night at the Morgue," which you can check out here. The video stars musician/actor Rob Zabrecky as a mortician sifting through the contents of a mysterious box, eventually revealing that L7 has reunited and will be embarking on a tour this year, which is apparently big enough news to wake the dead.

  • Muse Reveal 'Drones' As Title Of New Album On Instagram

    Muse have revealed the Drones as title of their upcoming new album. The band shared the news in a 10-second video clip posted to Instagram, which featured footage inside the studio of a digital screen with the words, "Artist: Muse. Album: Drones" scrawled over it, backed by sounds of a drill sergeant barking orders.

  • Lee Brice Sings 'More Than a Memory' With Garth Brooks Live [WATCH]

    As Garth Brooks continues to make his way across the country in support of his first album in 13 years, "Man Against Machine," there has been plenty of opportunities for admirers to share the stage with him. Most notably, Justin Timberlake and the country legend sang "Friends in Low Places" together, and recently Lee Brice scored an invite onstage. Brice co-wrote Brooks's 2007 hit "More Than a Memory," and that is what the pair sang at a show in Boston last week.

  • Kevin Gates Announces "I Don't Get Tired Tour" for February, March [FULL SCHEDULE]

    Louisiana rapper Kevin Gates has announced his "I Don't Get Tired Tour," which will take him across the South and the Midwest in February and March. According to Hip-Hop DX, the tour kicks off on Feb. 20 in Montgomery, Alabama and will hit 19 cities, finishing up on March 15 in Shreveport, Louisiana. However, the itinerary claims that Gates will be performing two shows in two separate Louisiana cities on March 14, so either this is a typo or Gates is just really committed to his whole "I Don't Get Tired" act.

  • Ultra Music Festival 2015 Goes Underground With 'Resistance' Stage

    Ultra Music Festival is taking a deep dive underground in 2015. Traditionally it has reserved a stage for the old-school house and techno styles of electronic music for Carl Cox and his curated stage, with a smattering of other names across other stages away from the main stage. In 2015, Ultra is making a serious commitment to the underground, giving it two stages, Resistance and Carl Cox and Friends, which has not announced its lineup yet, but he will have to find some names outside those on the Resistance lineup.

  • Blink-182 Break Up Continues: Mark Hoppus & Travis Barker Blast Tom DeLonge in New Interview

    Tom DeLonge's split from Blink-182 is just getting messier and messier. Yesterday (Jan. 26), news broke that the singer/guitarist had left the band when Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus sent out a press release. However, DeLonge later countered that on Instagram, calling the release "weird." But now, in a new interview with Rolling Stone, Barker and Hoppus opened up about the inner workings of Blink-182, saying that yes, DeLonge is on an indefinite hiatus from the pop-punk trio.

  • Grateful Dead Fans Flood U.S. Postal Service with Pre-Sale Ticket Requests

    The Grateful Dead has some of the most passionate fans in music history. Pre-sales for the jam band's Fourth of July Reunion show with Trey Anastasio overwhelmed the group's camp since opening Jan. 20. Dead 50 reports that more than 60,000 envelopes with ticket requests were received. Relix estimates that those envelopes contain over 350,000 ticket requests for the three-night residency at Chicago's Soldier Field.
