Clint Eastwood's "American Sniper" has made $105.3 at the box office after just a few days, absolutely shattering January film records. It seems that anyone who has seen it this past weekend is saying that it is absolutely a must-see flick. Of course there is a disgruntled group giving voice to the notion that American Sniper is little more than pro-war propaganda but the bottom line is that in order to really form an opinion, you've got to check out the film. -

Waka Flocka Flame has been making some interesting appearances lately. Whether it is Funny or Die spots or throat lozenge commercials, Waka has shown his versatility outside the studio. He made a quick visit with Jason Probst and the team behind the successful Minecraft Universe YouTube account dedicated to the incredibly successful computer game Minecraft. Stopping in between shows on the #Toat2k15 tour in California with DJ Whoo Kid, novice Minecraft player Waka tried his hand at the game and seemed rather amused by the whole thing with a character swagged out with a gold chain, as much as one can be as a boxy character, from head to toe. -
Mick Jagger Sets Up Fashion Scholarship in Honor of Late Girlfriend L'Wren Scott
Mick Jagger is doing his best to ensure late girlfriend L'Wren Scott's memory will not be forgotten. The Rolling Stones frontman recently dedicated a fashion scholarship in Scott's name to Central Saint Martins Design College in London.According to "Billboard," the scholarship will be given to one masters student annually, through the 2017 school term, and will cover that pupil's entire tuition plus some living expenses. -
Nearly 5 Million People Watched Lifetime 'Whitney' Houston Biopic
There was plenty of backlash directed at Lifetime before it debuted its Whitney Houston biopic "Whitney," but the channel managed to score great audience numbers during its Sunday night, Jan. 18, programming block.The film itself averaged 4.5 million viewers between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. ET, according to "The Hollywood Reporter." In addition to that, the interview special "Bobby Brown: Remembering Whitney" managed to hold on to 4.1 million of those initial viewers between 10 p.m and 11 p.m. Finally, the program "Whitney Houston Live: Her Greatest Performances" drew 3.2 million viewers during the 11 p.m. to midnight hour. -

Go to any concert, any music festival, and there will be scores of opening acts. They serve to get the crowd warmed up, get the crowd ready to rock with the headliners at the end of the night. This same thing used to happen at political events: Sometimes other political figures aside from the "headliner" would give speeches of their own for the cause and often musicians with sympathizing views would perform as well. This same thing happened at the conclusion of the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, which culminated in Martin Luther King's famous "I Have A Dream" Speech. Rdio Officially Launches Service in India
Spotify streaming competitor Rdio has officially launched in India as per a statement. Rdio takes a big step with this move to increase its user base by adding the second most-populace country in the world of 1.25 billion people as potential listeners. Rdio boasts a library of more than 32 million songs in 43 languages from global, regional and local labels, and with the move into India will be working hard to recruit local content providers into vast networks. -
