• Former New York Gov. Mario Cuomo Is Dead at 82

    Legendary New York political figure Mario Cuomo died Thursday, Jan. 1, of heart failure. Cuomo served three terms as the governor of New York and died not long after his son, Andrew Cuomo, was sworn in for a second term as governor. According to a statement released by his family, Cuomo died surrounded by family.The "New York Post" was one of the first outlets to announce the sad news, saying:"Cuomo, who had been ill for months, was 82, and his death came just hours after his son, Andrew, was inaugurated for a second term in his father's old job. Daughter Madeline Cuomo said her dad died in his Manhattan home at 5:15 p.m., and noted that those were 'his lucky numbers.'"I think he waited until after Andrew's swearing-in," she added."He had been receiving hospice care in his Sutton Place apartment, and the cause appeared related to recent heart troubles, sources said."Cuomo, during his heyday, was popular for his eloquence and ability to use his humble beginnings as a way to connect with people and then drive home his points in order to facilitate change. He was also dubbed the "Hamlet on the Hudson" because of his internal struggle over whether or not to run for president in the 1988 and '92 races. He backed out at the last minute in 1991, paving the way for a fairly unknown candidate named Bill Clinton to sneak in and grab the Democratic nomination.

The Gabriel Hart-directed video features the trio rapping in a laundromat (these guys are tough) while surrounded by a bunch of women who are being quite blatantly objectified in pretty much every single shot.

  • Chief Keef Shares New Track "That Be Me" [LISTEN]

    Chicago rapper, Chief Keef, has rung in the new year with a new track for his fans titled, "That Be Me," which you can check out here. Keef doesn't so much rap as sing-speak with Autotune over YG On Da Beat's spacy production, which honesty sounds much better than most of the beats that Keef cooks up for himself. It's not clear if this track will ultimately appear on one of Keef's many upcoming projects or if it's simply a standalone single.

  • Ferguson Protesters Pepper-Sprayed After Infiltrating STL Police Headquarters

    We may have closed the book on 2014, but that does not mean the tension between Ferguson, Missouri, protesters and St. Louis, Missouri, police officers is over — not by any means. Instead, a group of 75 protesters proved last night, Dec. 31, 2014, that the racially charged divide is going to be an issue that follows us into this new year, 2015. The protesters served a literal eviction notice to St. Louis police officers late last night and many found themselves either pepper-sprayed or arrested.As part of their "March to the Arch" protest, several members of the group purposely went into the lobby of STL police headquarters and then proceeded to read off a list of demands and they posted hundreds of eviction notices on the outside of the building for alleged police brutality. Nineteen protesters were eventually arrested, primarily because they were laying in the middle of the road blocking the flow of traffic. The group had originally intended to occupy the area of the headquarters for four hours to commemorate how long Michael Brown lied dead in the street after being shot by Darren Wilson.
