Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor recently discussed the reasoning behind why guitarist Jim Root was dismissed from Stone Sour. Root, who plays guitar in Slipknot and also worked with Stone Sour, was kicked out of the latter in 2013. It was a necessary move, Taylor said, in order to ensure both bands survived. Stone Sour is readying its upcoming album of covers while Slipknot is out on the road in support of .5: The Gray Chapter. -
Gucci Mane Shares New Track "Dead People" Featuring Raury [LISTEN]
Atlanta rappers Gucci Mane and Raury have teamed up for a new track titled "Dead People," which you can check out here. The track moves along with a pretty gnarly electronic beat and some quirky synths, while Gucci delivers the hook and the first verse. Raury comes out on top, however, delivering a rapid-fire verse that totally brightens up the song's murky, relaxed tempo. As the single's artwork suggests, the titular "Dead People" refer to hundred dollar bills with pictures of Ben Franklin on them, which can't accurately be called "dead presidents" since Franklin was never president. -

Michael Brown's Ex-Con Stepfather Louis Head is Being Investigated for Inciting Ferguson Riots
By now I think nearly everyone has seen the video of Michael Brown's stepfather shouting into the crowd, "Burn this b**** down!" shortly after the grand jury announced its' decision not to indict officer Darren Wilson for the Aug. 9 shooting that killed the teen. While many have said that Louis Head, Brown's step-dad, wasn't actually inciting violence, he was just reacting to the pain in that moment, the Ferguson police department doesn't necessarily see it that way.
