Jack Johnson announces dates for world tour [SCHEDULE]
Jack Johnson has announced a world tour in support of his latest release, 2013's From Here to Now to You, which debuted at No. 1 in September. He will be on and off the road from March to September with support from a variety of artists including Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and Amos Lee. Tickets go on sale January 30 and January 31, depending on the city, at 10 a.m. local time. -
Queen Latifah to sing 'America The Beautiful' at Super Bowl after Grammys marriage ceremony
It's going to be two big Sundays in a row for Queen Latifah. After marrying 33 couples on Sunday (Jan. 26) at the Grammy Awards, it was announced that the rapper/singer/actress will also be taking on the Super Bowl. And no, she won't be marrying anybody at MetLife Stadium. Instead, she'll be performing patriotic anthem "America The Beautiful" during the pre-game festivities. -

Pete Seeger passes away at age 94; legendary folk icon popularized 'We Shall Overcome' and set roots for all protest music
The year is young yet, but 2014 may have already seen its most relevant music-related death. Folk music pioneer Pete Seeger passed away Monday evening at the age of 94. According to his family, Seeger passed away naturally in his sleep. He had spent nearly a week at New York's Presbyterian Hospital, but he hadn't been suffering from any other ailments.
