We're not sure what a good winning percentage for award shows is, because we've never been nominated for anything. Kacey Musgraves was nominated for a heck of a lot of awards at the CMA's this week, but only took home one trophy from her six nominations (Best New Artist). Although we're sure that Musgraves will collect many CMA prizes in the years to come, she had to be a little disappointed. And it probably didn't make her feel any better to get censored by the show's producers as she performed new single "Follow Your Arrow" onstage. -

HARD Music Festival announces plans for female-only DJ weekend
Gary Richards, the founder of the HARD dance-music festival series (and occasionally performing under the name Destructo), has announced plans to launch what he called a "weekender" that would feature exclusively female performers. Sad news for fans looking forward to that Flaming Lips-Ke$ha collaboration that Wayne Coyne had promised. Look like that won’t be happening anymore. Coyne tweeted today that the album had been called off, “As of now . . . sadly there will be no Lip$ha . . . I can't say why . . . It is sad . . ." Rolling Stone confirmed the news with The Flaming Lips label, Warner Bros. earlier today.
